I've seen a lot of skepticism about the efficacy of today's efforts to drum up opposition to SOPA and PIPA. However, Google reports that roughly 4.5 million people have signed their anti-SOPA petition. And that is just one of the many petitions opposing this legislation. The fight is not over yet, and similar bills will undoubtedly emerge if these are defeated. But numbers like this are going to be tough for Congress to ignore, especially if we are willing to keep the pressure on.
