The Occupy Wall Street movement started as a genuinely democratic expression and quickly became a dynamic grassroots movement, the likes of which we have not seen here in some time. In a mostly apathetic culture, it is reassuring to see such a movement growing and developing. In watching it from afar, I cannot help thinking that we could be seeing the beginnings of a peaceful revolution of sorts. I wholeheartedly support their recent declaration, and I think that most Americans not brainwashed by Fox "News" will agree with much of it.

The degree with which the American political system has been corrupted by corporate control has been ignored for far too long. In the aftermath of Citizens United, it has become so blatant that it cannot be ignored. It is time to get corporate money out of politics once and for all.
