Here in the United States, we have the freedom to assemble, participate in peaceful protests, and express our views publicly (no matter how crazy they may be). Again and again, the nonviolent protest has been a vital tactic of both the political left and right. When one is confronted with protestors expressing a viewpoint with which one disagrees, trying to silence them is not the answer. Instead, it is far more effective to join them. Yes, you read that correctly.

I'm not sure there is a more effective strategy for dealing with public expressions of bigotry. I am thrilled to see this catching on.
