Republican after Republican has claimed that the U.S. has the best health care in the world. That sounds pretty good. Too bad it is not even remotely true.
The results of a recent report by the nonprofit Commonwealth Fund ranked U.S. health care last compared with that of Britain, Canada, Netherlands, Australia, New Zealand, and Germany.
Every other system covers all its citizens, the report noted and said the U.S. system, which leaves 46 million Americans or 15 percent of the population without health insurance, is the most unfair.
