Barbour Unprepared for Gulf Oil Spill

Haley-Barbour.jpgIn spite of minimizing the harm caused to his state by the worst environmental disaster in U.S. history, Mississippi Gov. Haley Barbour (R) has finally been forced to acknowledge that oil from BP's spill is indeed making its way toward his coast.

In a news conference on Friday, Barbour complained about a lack of equipment and resources to prevent the oil from coming ashore. Gov. Barbour, you think that might have something to do with you repeatedly denying that the spill was anything for Mississippi to worry about?

Maybe if Barbour had been more focused on taking action instead of misusing his office to push prayer on the citizens of his state, he might have the equipment and resources in place by now.
