Proving that effective political analysis need not be lengthy or complex, First Door on the Left provided a brief but brilliant summary of the recent health care summit. After noting that there was nothing bipartisan about the summit (what was Obama thinking?), we are treated to this gem:
For some reason (dementia, perhaps?), it seems that Johnny [McCain] has yet to realize that he lost the election. In fact, the entire Republican party appears not to have yet realized that they are in the minority. Most Democrats have not yet realized it, either. That's exactly the problem, isn't it? The Republicans and Democrats appear to be united in the mistaken impression that the Republicans actually won the election. I guess that is one way to achieve bipartisanship.
