I live in an area where I have no real choice besides Comcast, and while I despise their awful service, there is precious little I can do about it. So you'll understand that it was nice to see Comcast and NBC take a bit of a pounding today on Capitol Hill from the House Judiciary Committee over the proposed Comcast takeover of NBC-Universal.

Jobs and lack of diversity were some of the main issues on which the CEOs were questioned. It is nice to see Congress doing something useful for a change. I hope they end up blocking the merger. I fail to see how media consolidation is anything but bad news for those of us who want to remain informed.
